From the business
In the shop's own words: “The Shop That Earned Its Name”
We're Legit Automotive, an auto repair and maintenance shop on Gower Street in Los Angeles. The name isn't a gimmick — it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every car that rolls through the door. Customers regularly tell us the same thing: we give it to them straight, and when a repair isn't necessary, we say so.
From full engine replacements to everyday maintenance, we do the job well, explain what we're doing, and stand behind the work with easy follow-up. If your car breaks down, we'll even help you get it towed to the shop. That's why drivers who found us in a pinch keep coming back for a decade or more.
- We tell you when a repair isn't needed
- Same-day turnaround on many repairs
- Help arranging a tow to the shop
- Open six days a week, including Saturday mornings
