Yao Auto Repair

From the business

In the shop's own words: “Honest Repairs, No Appointment Needed”

Yao and Janice run our shop on 7th Avenue in Oakland, where we specialize in catalytic converter replacement and exhaust repair for cars of every age. When a customer's converter gets cut out by thieves, or an old exhaust system finally gives out, we're the crew that gets them back on the road.

We explain what's wrong, what it costs, and how long it will take before we touch a wrench. Common parts like mufflers and pipes are often on hand, so most catalytic converter jobs and straightforward exhaust repairs get done the same visit, no appointment required.

Every catalytic converter we install gets fitted with protection to help guard against a repeat theft. It's one more thing we do because we'd rather our customers not end up back in our lot for the same reason.

• Walk-ins welcome, no appointment
• Catalytic converter theft specialists
• Anti-theft protection on every install
• Parts explained before any work starts
