From the business
In the shop's own words: “Gardens built for the way San Francisco lives”
We design, build, and maintain gardens across San Francisco, from steep hillside lots to the narrow vertical yards that come with city living. Our work starts with what's already there: soil, slope, light, and the shape of the property, and builds outward using California native shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers alongside natural stone, logs, and branches for pathways and structure.
We stay close to the process. Clients help choose the plants and materials, and we walk them through a timeline before any digging starts, then hand off advice on caring for the space once it's planted. For smaller, vertical San Francisco lots, we break a property into distinct areas so even a tight footprint gets a real garden.
We also stay on after installation, keeping gardens weeded, watered, and shaped through the seasons so they hold up years after the first planting.
- California native plant expertise
- Natural stone and timber hardscaping
- Built for San Francisco's narrow, sloped lots
- Same gardener from design through maintenance
Services
Garden Design & Installation
We turn bare, overgrown, or hard-packed yards into California native gardens shaped with stone, log, and branch hardscaping.
Patio & Outdoor Living Spaces
We redesign patios from initial layout ideas through material and plant selection, with a clear timeline the whole way through.
Garden Maintenance
Ongoing weeding, watering, and seasonal upkeep that keeps a planted garden looking as good years later as it did on day one.
Small-Lot & Vertical Gardens
For San Francisco's tightest, most vertical properties, we break the lot into several distinct planted areas instead of one cramped space.
