From the business
In the shop's own words: “A West Lane body shop that treats your car like it matters”
We're James Paulk Auto Body and Paint, a collision and refinishing shop at 3000 West Lane in Stockton. The doors open at 6:00 AM Monday through Friday, because most people need their car back before they need anything else.
Most of what comes through here is accident work — fenders, doors, bumpers, full insurance paint jobs. We handle the estimate, the insurance paperwork, and the tow-company back-and-forth so you don't have to learn all of it in a week you're already having a bad one.
And when a repair isn't the right answer, we say so. Customers have come in expecting to replace headlights and left with them cleaned instead. If the damage can be fixed for less than you were braced for, that's what we'll tell you.
- Open 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Insurance paint and collision work handled start to finish
- We'll estimate a car that isn't drivable
- Honest options when the full repair isn't in the budget
Services
Collision Repair
Accident damage repaired panel by panel, including fenders, doors, and bumpers, and refinished to match the rest of the car.
Auto Painting & Refinishing
Full and spot refinishing, including complete insurance paint work. The goal is a finish you can't pick out from the factory paint next to it.
Insurance Claim Repairs
We work directly with your insurer and coordinate around tow companies, so the claim side of an accident doesn't land on you.
Damage Estimates
A clear written estimate before any work starts — including on cars that aren't drivable, which not every shop will look at.
Rock Chip & Bumper Refinishing
Chipped front bumpers and stone-pitted panels sanded, sprayed, and blended back into the surrounding paint.
Headlight Restoration
Clouded, yellowed headlights cleaned up and cleared, often for a fraction of what replacement would cost.
