From the business
In the shop's own words: “A small green pocket of the Presidio”
Fort Scott Community Garden sits at 1337 Wisser Ct, a short walk from the Presidio's trails and overlooks. It is a well-established garden: plots tended by residents of the surrounding neighborhood, planted with a wide variety of things growing close together in a compact space.
The garden is open 24 hours a day, every day. There are tables and a hammock, and enough quiet that visitors on a sunny walk or hike often describe stumbling onto it as a surprise.
We keep this page simple: where the garden is, what it is, and how to reach us. Neighbors interested in the plots, or anyone with a question about the garden, can call (415) 561-5300.
- Open 24 hours, seven days a week
- Plots tended by surrounding residents
- Tables and a hammock for a rest stop
Services
Community Garden Plots
A well-established community garden where residents of the surrounding neighborhood tend their own plots, with a striking variety of plants packed into a small space.
A Place to Sit
Tables and a hammock give the garden somewhere to stop and stay a while: a peaceful spot rather than a place you simply pass through.
A Stop on a Presidio Walk
Set off Wisser Court in the Presidio, the garden is an easy detour on a sunny walk or hike, and it's open at any hour, any day.
